Why It May Be Useful
The blood component provides a broad laboratory overview. HTMA adds adjunctive hair-element information. Saliva testing can provide measurements of the hormones included in the specific ordered profile, with interpretation dependent on sample timing, sex, age, menstrual or menopausal status, hormone therapy, medications, and the exact analytes collected.

 
What Happens Next
Results are reviewed together with symptoms, medical history, medications, supplements, and collection timing. Findings from specialty testing may require confirmation with standard serum, urine, imaging, or other medical evaluation when clinically appropriate.

 
Limitations / Important Considerations

The exact saliva-hormone analytes depend on the specific ordered profile and should be confirmed before collection.
Salivary hormone testing is not interchangeable with serum testing for every hormone or clinical question.
HTMA is adjunctive and should not be used as stand-alone proof of nutritional deficiency or toxic-metal exposure.
