Essential Blood Testing Program
An expanded blood-testing program that adds glucose-regulation, inflammatory, vitamin D, and homocysteine markers to the Standard Blood Testing Panel.
What's Included
- Comprehensive Metabolic Panel (CMP)
- Lipid Panel
- Complete Blood Count (CBC) with differential and platelets
- Phosphorus
- Uric Acid
- Insulin
- Vitamin D, 25-Hydroxy
- Homocysteine
- Hemoglobin A1c
- Thyroid panel: TSH, T3 Uptake, Total T4
- Total Iron and Ferritin
- High-Sensitivity C-Reactive Protein (hs-CRP)
- Gamma-Glutamyl Transferase (GGT)
- Lactate Dehydrogenase (LDH)
Why It May Be Useful
This program broadens routine blood testing by adding markers relevant to vitamin D status, longer-term glucose exposure, circulating insulin, homocysteine, and systemic inflammation. These results can help identify patterns that warrant more targeted evaluation or follow-up.
What Happens Next
Results are interpreted as a pattern. Follow-up may include repeat testing, more specific lipid or thyroid studies, additional iron testing, or medical evaluation depending on the findings.
Limitations / Important Considerations
- Insulin is context-dependent and does not by itself diagnose insulin resistance, prediabetes, or diabetes.
- hs-CRP is nonspecific and can rise with infection, injury, or other inflammatory states.
- Homocysteine is a biomarker; lowering it does not automatically prove reduction in cardiovascular events.
This testing is intended to provide additional health information and does not by itself diagnose a medical condition or replace evaluation, diagnosis, or treatment by a qualified healthcare professional. Results should be interpreted in the context of medical history, symptoms, medications, and other clinically relevant information.
