Overview
Estrovera® provides 4 mg of the proprietary rhapontic rhubarb root extract ERr 731® per tablet. Unlike estrogen or progesterone therapy, ERr 731® is a botanical extract and is marketed as hormone-free. The exact ERr 731® extract has been studied in randomized controlled trials in perimenopausal women.
Evidence Note
Two randomized placebo-controlled trials involving 109 and 112 perimenopausal women found significant improvement in Menopause Rating Scale scores and hot-flash outcomes after 12 weeks of ERr 731®. These findings are specific to the standardized ERr 731® extract and should not be generalized to rhubarb supplements broadly. Longer-term observational follow-up is supportive but less rigorous than randomized evidence.

Suggested Use
Take 1 tablet once daily with food and a glass of water, preferably at the same time each day, or as directed by your healthcare practitioner.

- Do not use if pregnant or breastfeeding.
- Consult your healthcare practitioner before use if taking medication or if you have a hormone-sensitive condition.
- Do not use if you have or develop diarrhea, loose stools, or abdominal pain because rhubarb may worsen these symptoms. Consult your physician if you experience frequent diarrhea.
