Overview
Pregnenolone is a steroid hormone precursor synthesized from cholesterol and can be converted downstream into DHEA, progesterone, and other steroid hormones. This formula provides 30 mg per capsule.
 
Evidence Note
Promising / limited evidence. Pregnenolone has been studied in small clinical trials for selected neuropsychiatric and cognitive outcomes, but evidence is not strong enough to support broad claims for memory enhancement, mood improvement, energy, or hormone balancing in otherwise healthy adults. The claim that total cholesterol below 175 mg/dL causes impaired steroid-hormone production is not established and has been removed.
