Why It May Be Useful
The program combines established blood tests with specialty assessments so multiple laboratory domains can be reviewed together. Blood testing provides information about hematologic, metabolic, glucose-related, lipid, thyroid-related, iron, inflammatory, liver-related, and vitamin D markers. HTMA, saliva hormone testing, and food-reactivity testing provide additional adjunctive information that requires more cautious interpretation.
What Happens Next
Results are reviewed alongside symptoms, medical history, medications, supplements, diet, collection timing, and other relevant clinical information. The goal is to identify laboratory patterns that may warrant nutrition changes, follow-up testing, or referral for medical evaluation—not to assign a diagnosis from a single specialty test.
Specialty Testing Notes
- HTMA: Hair-element findings are adjunctive and should not be used alone to diagnose nutrient deficiency, adrenal or thyroid dysfunction, “metabolic type,” or toxic-metal poisoning.
- ZRT saliva hormone testing: The exact hormones measured depend on the specific profile ordered. Interpretation depends on sample timing, sex, age, menstrual or menopausal status, hormone therapy, medications, and clinical context.
- KBMO testing: The exact food and gut-related markers depend on the specific panel ordered. Results are not equivalent to IgE food-allergy testing and should not be used alone to diagnose food allergy, autoimmune disease, gastrointestinal disease, “leaky gut,” or Candida overgrowth.
Limitations / Important Considerations
- No single panel provides a complete picture of health or identifies the cause of every symptom.
- Abnormal blood results may require confirmation, repeat testing, imaging, or medical evaluation.
- Specialty testing should complement—not replace—validated diagnostic testing when a medical disorder is suspected.
- Exact specialty-panel components should be confirmed before collection because available laboratory profiles can change.
What You Receive
Acutrition reviews the available results together and provides an individualized interpretation with nutrition, lifestyle, supplementation, follow-up testing, or referral recommendations when appropriate.
This testing is intended to provide additional health information and does not by itself diagnose a medical condition or replace evaluation, diagnosis, or treatment by a qualified healthcare professional. Results should be interpreted in the context of medical history, symptoms, medications, and other clinically relevant information.
