Overview
Each capsule provides 250 mg of milk thistle seed extract standardized to 80% silymarin. Silymarin is a mixture of flavonolignans studied for antioxidant and liver-related effects.
Evidence Note
Recent meta-analyses report improvements in liver-enzyme biomarkers in some people with metabolic fatty liver disease, but the evidence is heterogeneous. A 2025 Cochrane review concluded that patient-important benefits and harms remain uncertain because trials are small, heterogeneous, and often at risk of bias. Silymarin should therefore not be presented as “detoxifying” the liver, repairing liver cells, or treating fatty liver disease.

Suggested Use
Take 1 capsule 1–4 times daily between meals, or as directed by your healthcare professional.

- Abnormal liver enzymes, jaundice, severe abdominal pain, or suspected medication-related liver injury require medical evaluation.
- Milk thistle may cause allergic reactions in people sensitive to plants in the Asteraceae family.
