What It Measures
The exact hormones and sample type depend on the ZRT profile selected for the patient. Depending on the ordered profile, testing may include selected reproductive or adrenal-related hormones. Exact analytes and collection instructions should be confirmed before testing.
Why It May Be Useful

What Happens Next
Results are interpreted with age, sex, menstrual or menopausal status when relevant, pregnancy status, hormone therapy, medications, collection timing, symptoms, and other laboratory findings. A single hormone value should not be interpreted in isolation.
Limitations / Important Considerations
- The exact panel and collection method must be confirmed before testing.
- Salivary hormone measurements are not interchangeable with serum testing for every hormone or clinical question.
- Salivary cortisol has validated uses in selected endocrine evaluations, but broad wellness interpretations of saliva hormone patterns should not be treated as diagnostic of adrenal disease.
- Abnormal or clinically important results may require confirmation with standard serum testing or formal endocrine evaluation.
